Logan Jones, DO

Logan Jones attended Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa where he received his Doctor of Osteopathy in 2009. He is board certified in occupational medicine and has worked in Portland, Oregon; Incirlik AB, Turkey; Cannon AFB, New Mexico; and Lackland AFB, Texas. His outside interests include traveling, fitness, and team events, including competing in the 2015 Hood to Coast relay race in Oregon, hiking the Salkantay trail to Machu Picchu, and summiting Wayna Picchu in Peru.

Malcolm “Matt” W. Slaton, PA-C, MPAS, DFAAPA

Matt has 40-plus years of multidisciplinary experience working as a physician assistant. He retired from the Navy as a PA in 1988 after 20 years of service. His BS and MPAS degrees are from the Medical College, University of Nebraska and he is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. In 2006, he and his wife Penny, moved to Colorado to be near their two daughters and three grandchildren.

Michelle Hykes, LMT, CKTP, CNA, RYT

Michelle came to Workwell Occupational Medicine, LLC with a wide range of training. She received her LMT Certification in 2010 from the Academy of Natural Therapy and completed her CNA Certification through Aims Community College in 2011. In 2016, Michelle completed her KT1, 2, and 3 training and earned her CKTP Certification. Along with expanding her training, Michelle’s goal is to become a leader and innovator in integrative therapy in the medical profession.

David Schulteis, Physical Therapist, DPT

David earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Southwest Baptist University and a bachelor’s degree in biology with minors in psychology and physical science from Pittsburg State University. He also has a certification through Advanced Ergonomics for pre-employment testing. David competed at the collegiate level in track and field at both universities he attended and enjoys staying active by running marathons and hiking 14ers with his wife.

Laurie Johnson, PTA

Laurie joined Workwell in 2013 with more than 20 years’ experience in occupational medicine. She received her training in the U.S. Army where she provided inpatient and outpatient therapy services as a PT assistant. Laurie holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Columbia College and has her PTA license in both Colorado and Wyoming.

Amber Payne, PA-C

As an artist of medicine, Amber offers a creative approach to patient education, prevention, and treatment. She maintains a cheerful demeanor, hoping to brighten each patient’s visit while maintaining focus on their functional gains. She enjoys spending time with her family, running, cycling, hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, and traveling. She has achieved a Master’s in Health Science and Physician Assistant Studies from Drexel University College of Medicine and a Bachelor of Arts – Biology (Pre-Med) from University of Colorado – Colorado Springs.
